Summerfield Outdoors sits on a private wildlife preserve in Colfax, Louisiana. What started as a family retreat has grown into a place where friends, families, and fellow outdoor enthusiasts can experience the Louisiana outdoors in a setting that's truly their own.
The property brings hunting and fishing together: a stocked lake at its center — home to Tiger Bass, Coppernose Bluegill, catfish, and crappie — surrounded by open land and mature timber that's home to native and exotic wildlife.

On the Water
A stocked private lake
At the heart of the property is an 80-acre stocked lake — home to Tiger Bass, Coppernose Bluegill, catfish, and crappie. Fish it guided or self-guided, keep your catch within our limits, and finish the day with cleaning and packing.

White-Tailed Deer
Native Louisiana white-tails roam the property, often spotted near the treeline at dawn and dusk.
Fallow Deer
Elegant European fallow deer with distinctive spotted coats and palmate antlers.
Axis Deer
Beautiful spotted axis deer, originally from the Indian subcontinent, thrive here year-round.
Blackbuck
Striking blackbuck antelope known for their spiral horns and dramatic coloring.
Gemsbok
Impressive South African gemsbok with long, straight horns — one of the most striking exotics on the property.
